Take stock before making the list
Write down what you have already bought, borrowed or been offered. Then separate the things you have decided on from the things you are still comparing. Put confirmed choices on the gift list first, so guests do not buy something while you are still deciding.
Start a baby wishlist and use its description to give guests a little context. You can combine different shops and add a written wish for something without a product link. There is no required number of gifts or set of categories to fill.
Think about storage space, what suits your household and what you would actually appreciate. The wishlist helps organise your choices; check product suitability and current manufacturer guidance with the retailer before adding a baby product.
Write down useful preferences
For each product, save its link and check the title, image and price. Add the size, colour or version you have chosen. If it needs to fit something you already own, include that detail in the note so a guest knows what to check.
Clothing sizes and seasons are worth spelling out when you have a preference. For books or other items where duplicates matter, remove anything you already own. Avoid relying on a photograph to communicate a detail that could be written clearly.
Include a range of prices and, if welcome, a practical offer of help. A wish for a meal or a handmade present can be added without a shopping link. Explain the idea and agree any arrangements directly with the person offering it.
Organise the list together
The owner can add a partner or trusted organiser as a co-admin in list settings, using the email they registered with. They can then add, edit and remove wishes from their own account. The owner controls co-admin access and deletion of the list.
Agree how you will handle things bought outside the list. Removing a wish you no longer need keeps guests working from current information. If you remove one by mistake, Recently removed in Settings lets you restore it for up to 30 days.
Share it with baby shower guests
Choose a visibility setting that allows guests to open your list, then copy its link from Share wishlist. With “People with the link”, anyone receiving that link can view it. Use a friendly introduction; our baby shower message template is a starting point you can personalise.
Guests can reserve a gift using their name and email, without creating an account, and then buy it from the retailer. Other guests see that it has been chosen. Reservations remain hidden from the owner and co-admins unless Spoiler mode is enabled.
A delivery address is optional. If you enable address sharing in Settings, it is given to people who reserve your gifts. Check that choice before sharing the list and avoid putting an address in the public description.
Your sharing checklist
- Already-owned or promised items have been removed.
- Each wish has enough detail to identify your choice.
- The list includes ideas at different prices, where possible.
- Your co-admin has their own account and the access you intended.
- Visibility and delivery-address settings have been checked.
- The message makes it clear that a gift is optional.
Your link continues to show the latest version. For guests who need help coordinating, share our reservation guide.
