Give them the details, not a guessing game
A birthday list can hold the jacket you keep looking at, a book someone recommended and an experience you would love to try. Add a product link to find its details, then check the name, photo and price before saving. If a shop cannot be read automatically, you can enter the details yourself. A wish without a shopping link works too.
For clothes and shoes, include the size and colour you want. Use a note for the edition of a book, a preferred finish or another detail that would help someone choose. Mark a favourite with ‘I’d really love this one’ so your friends have a useful starting point. Your list can include a mix of prices; the choice of gift stays with them.
One birthday list, wherever your friends are
Send your wishlist link in a message or email when someone asks for birthday ideas. You can keep adding and editing wishes after sharing it: the same link opens the latest list. Choose the visibility setting that suits you, from a private list to one available to people with its link.
Friends can reserve a gift to let other visitors know it has been chosen. Reservations stay hidden from you unless you turn on spoiler mode, helping keep the surprise. Reserving a wish does not buy it; the person giving the gift follows the shop link and checks the current details before ordering. If plans change, they can cancel their reservation.
A few things you might be wondering
Is the birthday wishlist maker free?
Yes. Creating your wishlist, adding wishes, sharing the link and reserving gifts are free. Any purchases are made separately with the retailer.
Can I add birthday experiences or handmade gifts?
Yes. Only a wish title is required. You can add a day out, a handmade present or help with something, then explain the idea in a note.
Can I keep my birthday list for next year?
You can keep updating the same list, remove wishes you no longer want or make another wishlist for a different birthday or occasion.
Do friends need an account to reserve a gift?
Guests can reserve an available wish with their name and email address. Their private reservation email lets them manage it later. The recipient does not see who reserved it.
